The Nimbarka Sampradaya as a whole offers many humanitarian services to society. Dr. Brindavan Bihari Dasji, as one of the Mohantas of this Sampradaya, has focused primarily on bringing quality education to underprivileged children in India. He founded the International Nimbarka Education Society (INES) in 2007 which collaborates with developed nations to bring better education to needy children. The first formal and large scale step towards this goal was the establishment of Swami Dhananjaydas Kathia Baba Mission School in Agartala, Tripura, India (http://www.sddkmissionschool.net).

Another functional, yet developing project in India is the Swami Dhananjaydas Kathia Baba Vidyapith which is a primary school for needy children in Sukchar, West Bengal. Other projects include the Sanskrit Vidyalaya and the Ucchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya located in Shivala, Varanasi, which provide education to many children who would have otherwise received no education due to lack of funds. The Shivala Ashram not only provides free education but also provides food and lodging for needy students.

Another developing project named Gopalji ki Asthal is in Dakaishini where 30 acres of ashram land is currently under planning for the development of a primary school for local children.

Apart from educational projects, Sukchar Ashram frequently arranges for free medical camps. In addition, the ashram also has an old age home for the elderly who seek respite in the calm ashram environment, or have no one to take care of them. The ashrams also actively reach out when needed during times of floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters.
